Bachelor Party Planning | Throwing a bachelor party
So, you've got a buddy getting married. Now what? How do you go about planning a bachelor party? Don't worry. I created this site to help other dudes who need a little help planning the party. Browse around the site and I think you'll find enough ideas to do the bachelor justice.
Bachelor Part Planning 101 - Where do you start?
- Round up the the other groomsmen who live locally. Have a brainstorming session to get input from all the other guys. It will be a lot easier to figure out the best plans after hearing other opinions.
- Figure out how many people are going to be invited. Are you going to have a huge bash or just a couple of the bachelor's closest friends. This is a crucial first step. All your other ideas for the party will revolve around this factor.
- After you have decided on who will come, then you will have a better idea of what kinds of things you will be able to do. Decide whether you will travel as a small group or if you need to look into renting a large room for the party.
Planning a small party
If you can count all of the bachelor party guests on one hand then your options are only limited by your budget. This is your chance to take the trip of a lifetime with your closest friends. Don't waste it. Think outside the box.
You really can't go wrong with a trip to Las Vegas.
You could always go with a night on the town in a limousine. It is a classy way to throw your buddy a great party. Get a crew together that is guaranteed to have fun and chip in for the limousine. The groom shouldn't pay a dime for anything. Make sure you hit a local strip club. Get him a lapdance on stage.
Throwing a larger bachelor party
- Are you going to rent a hall, have it at someone's house, have it at a public restaurant or pub?
- Will you have it catered or do all the preparation yourself? My advice - have all the food catered. It is well worth the cost.
- What kind of entertainment will you provide? Put together a list of bachelor party games and activities.
- What will you offer for drinks? My advice- Get a variety of beer by the bottle or can. If it's a real big party, plan on 3 beers per guy per hour. You'll end up with extra leftovers. It's also a good idea to have the standard well booze available for mixers. If you offer top shelf whiskey, somebody is going to end up completely shitfaced. If that's what you want, so be it. I recommend avoiding that scenario. The only one drunk enough to puke should be the groom. The rest of you guys should be looking out for him.
- Strippers or no strippers. That is the question. Um, let me think ................. definitely hire a stripper. If it's a big party, some of the guys will be pissed if there isn't a stripper. After all, it is a stag party.
- Pick up some bachelor party supplies for some entertainment.
